we are looking for a motivated and creative Software System Engineer who will be part of the R&D group, and provide technical leadership and help Engineering build next-generation products to manage modern software releases.
This role will report directly to the VP R&D, and involves defining system architecture, dealing with Engineering-centric requirements, researching technical innovations, and engaging in POCs gauging technical risk. Candidates must have solid experience working on complex systems, as well as with software architecture and design process.
Responsibilities:
Technical lead of multidisciplinary system development
Communicating business requirements, criteria and needs to software development teams
Researching and evaluating technical standards and tools for a project and determining which ones are the optimal choice
Assist in defining coding standards and guidelines for developers to follow.
Designing and revising a projects structure
Distributing development tasks to a team of software engineers
Writing sections of code as part of development in a project
System characterization, system documentation management and address system requirements
Architecture definition and requirements analysis and definition
Enhance operations by performing systems analysis; suggest modifications in procedures and policies
Provide architectural oversight and guidance to Engineering teams
Evaluate new technologies
Participate in senior technical job interviews as needed.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Real-Time Embedded Systemsa Developer to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of systems software, with a focus on bare metal, FreeRTOS and Linux Embedded integration. Collaborating with various disciplines within the company, the role involves full responsibility for the characterization, analysis, implementation, and documentation of diverse software solutions, interfacing with system and hardware engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Real-Time Embedded systems software.
Integrate Bare metal, FreeRTOS and Linux Embedded systems within a collaborative development environment.
Characterize, analyze, and implement software solutions in alignment with system and hardware specifications.
Document all phases of software development

Required Software Engineer
About The Position:
The ATE Group leads the development of complex, multidisciplinary (software, hardware, optics, mechanics) capital equipment machines designed to characterize, calibrate, and produce our cutting-edge LiDAR technology. The SW team within the group is responsible for developing the software that operates those systems, including implementing the different calibration algorithms, automation software, user interfaces, and more.
As a key member of the software development team, you will:
Design and build the software for future state-of-the-art mass production machines for our next-generation LiDAR
Interact with multi-disciplinary systems and teams
Develop, Upgrade, and maintain algorithms and SW processes
Write corresponding software documentation, per automotive requirements
Create SW infrastructures for mass production platforms
Analyze failures and define improvements
Improve the team's code quality
leading guide and mentor junior SW developers in the SW team.

Essential Functions:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Development of Embedded Linux kernel drivers and Android internals
Integration of kernel and android layers.
Review and good understanding of HW design with emphasis on possible software implications.
Perform and manage integration with ODMs releases, with ability to review and improve their changes.
Design and improve the testing capabilities of proprietary kernel drivers.
