Were looking for an HW Applications Engineer to join the team.
In this role, you will be part of a team of expert level engineers working with R&D and customers on prototyping systems. As a part of the team, you will be involved in Feature Validation, Product Sign-Off, Customer Support and evaluation. You will become an expert in all aspects of prototyping methodologies. You will also gain expertise in all aspects of prototyping flows including design, partitioning, testing, synthesis, simulation-based verification, functional verification, implementation, PAR and FPGA architecture.
You will be involved in defining test strategies and methodologies to continuously improve ease-of use, quality of results and inter-operability with other Tools like VCS, DC & Formality and gain expert level knowledge. By adapting to the recognized best practices and policies in , you will also become an expert in various processes involved Product Release Cycle starting from Requirement Specification to Product sign-off. You will receive little instructions on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments and projects. You will be responsible for determining and developing recommendations to solutions.
Key Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
Typically requires a minimum of +3 years of related experience.
Experience in project execution from start to completion contributing to complex aspects of the project.
Expertise in Emulation and/or Prototyping flows, systems, and methodologies
Strong proficiency in one or more of Verilog, SystemVerilog & VHDL is required.
Very good understanding of verification concepts, self-checking test benches with experience in any functional simulator is required.
Very good understanding of SW/HW debug methodologies with prior experience in any of standard SW/HW debug tools (Identify, ChipScope, SignalTap, Logic Analyzer etc.)
Good understanding of synthesis and timing analysis concepts is required.
Experience in any of the scripting language is required.
Complex Problem solving and debugging skills are essential.
Good knowledge in Simulation flows, Assertion, DPI and Transactors
Knowledge about formal verification will be a plus.
Knowledge in Solutions and Tools like Zebu, HAPS, VCS, Verdi, Zebu, ProtoCompiler, Synplify, VCS, DC, Formality will be a plus
Knowledge and previous experience with Xilinx & Altera architecture and Tool chains will be a plusStrong communication skills and ability to interact with customers as well as peers is required
Knowledge of key protocols like Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, DDR, and their usage in SoCs is a big advantage.
