We are seeking a Compliance Officer with a business orientation and demonstrated experience in Fintech, Banks, or payment companies in Israel. In this dynamic role, you will help the company successfully navigate Israeli government regulations, legal demands, and the internal compliance landscape, protecting the company from potential legal ramifications and reputational damage.
In this position, you are expected to act as a partner and advisor to the business leadership on compliance matters. You will demonstrate how compliance is integral to business strategy and contribute to driving it forward. Your role will involve enhancing broader processes and systems capabilities in cooperation with relevant teams within the company.
Responsibilities:
Acting as second line of defense by managing and monitoring AML/CFT activities and escalating identified noncompliance, or points of concern to senior management.
Reviewing the compliance department work processes to identify gaps against the regulatory requirements and leading a plan to correct them.
Reviewing technologic system to identify gaps against the regulation requirements and leading a plan to correct them.
Developing, implementing, and managing the Companys compliance long-term strategy and execution program.
Drafting guidelines and procedures concerning regulatory conduct with clients.
Providing professional advice to other teams relating to clients on-boarding process, restrictions, and activity.
Carrying out regulated periodic controls regarding the compliance work processes and clients activity.
keeping up to date with relevant laws and regulations, best industry practices, and internal policies, communicating relevant changes to other teams and making sure their operation is aligned with it,
Coordinating and scheduling required compliance training for employees.
Requirements: 4+ years of experience as a Compliance Officer, Head of Compliance, or other leading roles in Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
Bachelors degree in law. Additional certifications or advanced degrees in compliance, risk management, or a related field is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry in Israel.
Advantage: Familiarity with regulators in Europe.
Previous work experience in banks/fintech/payments/capital market industry.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address compliance issues.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Fluency in English and Hebrew with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to work flexible hours with different time zones.
