Summary of role and team:
We're looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our cell culture team at a leading cultured meat company.
The candidate will maintain new cell lines from various species, conduct QC experiments, prepare media, and distribute cells to other departments in the company.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in cell culture, biological methods, and a high motivation to perform routine tasks in a dynamic work environment.
The job is 80% lab-based.
Your day-to-day:
As a biologist, you will be responsible for all cell line maintenance and support, which requires high technical and professional skills.
You will operate laboratory equipment, bedding preparation, etc, utilizing work and the ability to follow protocols.
This work combines highly skilled technical work and the ability to take educated actions.
Requirements: The Ideal candidate:
Must-Have:
* MSc in Life Sciences/relevant biological degree with at least 2-3 years of industry experience.
* Experience in animal cell culture.
* Knowledge and experience in the following areas: Cell cultures- must, laboratory work experience, biological methods and processes, and familiarity with cell biology.
* Experience with aseptic technique/biosafety cabinets.
* Documentation ability (Excel/PowerPoint/Office skills) and writing work reports.
* Computer-oriented.
* Detail-oriented.
* Fast learner and independent.
* Excellent human relations, and the ability to work in a team.
* High motivation, multitasking capability, and the ability to work in a dynamic & fast-paced environment.
