We are looking for a talented Clinical Semantics Expert who will own the clinical semantic domain part of our solution. As a Clinical Semantics Expert, you will leverage your medical informatics knowledge and clinical knowledge, as well as work closely with different stakeholders in the company and customers.
Your everyday responsibilities would be:
● Own hands-on the management, interpretation, mapping and standardization of products semantic content (Terminologies and Ontologies updates for the various clinical domains).
● Work with Customer Success and product technical teams on semantic content development and its mapping to customers terminologies.
● Participate in client interactions to understand clinical use-cases and requirements for research, operations, quality improvement and population health management - and analyze customers semantics nuances and needs.
● Serve as a skilled clinical resource in support of non-clinical team members.
● Participate in reviewing user acceptance test plans for clinical scenarios and use-cases.
Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:
● Clinical coder, registered nurse (RN) or with a Medical Informatics background. MD degree - advantage.
● Strong knowledge of and experience with standard medical terminologies such as ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, ATC, UMLS and others.
● Experience in informatics and research, preferably interdisciplinary across clinical domains. Deep understanding of how clinical terms are used/documented.
These qualifications can be taught, but having them is an advantage:
● In-depth knowledge and understanding of the US/EU healthcare systems and data management.
● Experience in working with software R&D teams.
● Experience in clinical practice.
