The Global Head of Projects is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of all customers projects in the organization. This role will lead a team of project managers and serve as the primary liaison between the development teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Implement and enforce project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Team Leadership and Management:
Manage and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators.
Provide guidance, coaching, and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
Resolve project issues and escalate critical issues to executive leadership when necessary.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including executive leadership, product owners, and clients.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Present project status updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Manage project-related documentation, reports, and presentations.
Resource Management and Optimization:
Analyze resource requirements and allocate appropriate resources to projects based on priorities and workloads.
Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and accurate resource forecasting.
Requirements: Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex software projects, preferably in the telematics/fleet management industry.
Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello).
Experience in managing distributed and cross-functional teams is highly desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
