What you'll be doing:
Working on optical components for CPO applications
Design and design validation of optical test platforms and optical characterization stations.
Testing and characterization of optical components and optical connectors
Planning and building metrologies station for optical connectors
Design and design validation of optical elements (lenses, optical connectors, fiber array units etc.)
Collaborating with world-leading suppliers to develop high coupling efficiency components.

Senior Physicist
The Physics and Electro-Optics Group is looking for a Senior Physics Engineer reporting to Detector Physics team leader in the physics Department
Role and Responsibilities:
The Physicist will be part of a team dedicated to IR-detector development in the physics group. He will participate to the conception and development of detectors and accompany its development through the different stages of the projects from conception to inception at customer's. The physicist will also support the production line and should provide insights from physics perspective to the different functions of the company during the project development: Process teams, material growth, VLSI, Electronics, Mechanics, Marketing. The physicist should will have a system view of the detector with capability to understand the underlying physics process at material level, VLSI, and system level. The position includes important part of experimental work in laboratory environment, simulations development, data analysis and regular reports to management and project development team. The lead physicist should demonstrate important autonomy and leadership capabilities.

To operate within the production area, developing, implementing and managing manufacturing methods, processes and sequence of operations.

To define process requirements, working procedures, and provide equipment recommendations for product lines.

To execute Process-FMEA analyses, identifying possible sources of failures and taking measures to eliminate operational risks.

To define the process control methodologies and manage statistical process control systems to analyze out-of-control situations.

To liaise with Quality Assurance in responding to customer inquiries, and with Design Engineers to coordinate the launch of new products.

To monitor functional-specific trends and derive recommendations for their (incremental) improvements.

To execute focused research, create informative reports to support change or adaptation for processes and infrastructure systems.

To contribute to projects or processes to improve functional efficiency and effectiveness.

To take over the accomplishment of dedicated (local or function-specific) workstream, as part of an overarching infrastructure project.
