The British Embassy, Israel has vacancy for a Political Adviser for Human Rights and Middle East Peace Process B3 (L).
The job holder will provide research, analysis and reporting on developments on the Middle East Peace Process, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law issues.
Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the British Consulate General Jerusalem to provide detailed reporting and analysis on Middle East peace process, human rights and international humanitarian law issues.
Developing a range of contacts in the Israeli government and across civil society and lobbying in support of UK policy objectives.
Leading Embassy engagement on children and armed conflict (CAAC). Develop and deliver projects activity in this area.
Dealing with letters from members of the public and the UK Parliament on the peace process and human rights issues.
Cross-Embassy tasks as required, including compiling a daily press review and support to the wider team on visits.

Bachelors Degree preferably in politics, human rights or a related field.
At least two years of experience working on political affairs, human rights or other related fields.
Fluency in English and Hebrew (excellent reading, writing and speaking).
Creativity, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.
Proven organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Team focus and motivation and enthusiasm to work across teams in Tel Aviv, London and Jerusalem.
Excellent IT skills.
