This role is responsible for managing supply chain processes for a regional or global business unit while applying discretion and judgement. The role maintains current business processes and performance metrics by collaborating with regional and global business unit planning teams, and identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes. The role supports priority projects and communicates requirements to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
Responsibilities
Manages supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis, order fulfillment, import/export operations and shipping, for a regional or global business unit.
Produces reports using IT systems and analyzes data to develop trends for supply and demand activities, and articulates findings to management.
Leads the analysis conducted for backlog management.
Gathers demand data from country, region, and account managers to contribute to demand planning.
Collaborates with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance current business processes.
Drives business outcomes and operational excellence based on the continuous review of current processes.
Drives the review of performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
Provides training or general direction for junior staff members.
Requirements: Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
