The VP BU is a business executive who understands and manages the delicate balance of ensuring profitable growth of business in a defined account/territory, quality programs delivery, and achieving financial targets while assuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The VP BU is the central, significant, and senior role at the heart of customer facing delivery operations.
Key responsibilities
P&L Management:
Manage the P&L for the business unit in the assigned territory/accounts; responsible for meeting the accounts financial targets.
Continuously targeting to lower the total cost of ownership for the customers.
Customer Management:
Responsible for the well-being of the long-term customer relationship and customer satisfaction.
Work to be valued by the customer as a trusted advisor and reliable focal point for business and systems issues.
Growth Management:
Constantly drive to grow the business and up-sales with our customers, by identifying and promoting business opportunities where may offer added value.
Support the expansion of the business to new segments within existing customer accounts.
Delivery Management:
The VP is the final point of accountability for ensuring quality, timely, and on budget delivery of operations, solutions and projects.
Work hand in hand with the competency centres/delivery managers to optimize delivery.
People Management:
Manage directly dispersed VPs, Program Directors team, responsible for their hiring, mentoring, performance, personal growth, and high motivation.
Work in a matrix manner with the VP R&D and COE to smooth delivery and manage risks.
Requirements: 15+ years management experience (staff and budget responsibility) within a global enterprise software solutions company.
Proven experience of:
Leading international clients and engagement teams through the delivery of complex software solutions on large scales (>30M$);
Successful solution delivery with demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects, juggling competing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Growing business within existing customer accounts, hands-on as well as by leading a team of customer managers.
Seasoned manager with the ability to hire, mentor, coach and develop a globally dispersed high performing team.
Experience and knowledge of Life & Pension software solutions Advantage.
Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to serve as a trusted advisor to C-level customer executives.
Personality, mindset, and investment approach that fits well with an entrepreneurial, growing firm, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
