We are looking for a R&D Team Leader to join our R&D department.
In this role, you will be leading 2 -3 teams of software engineers and QA.
You will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of backend architecture and technological stack across our products , manage high-performing team of engineers, set the technical direction, and drive innovation.
Work closely with product, business, engineering, leadership teams and other stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions while maintain the integrity and scalability of our backend infrastructure.

In this role you will:
Lead the backend R&D team to design, build, and scale backend systems that power our SaaS platform
Define technical vision, roadmap, and architecture ensuring alignment with overall product goals and business objectives
Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to backend engineers and team leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Drive best practices in software engineering, including coding standards, testing, and architecture.
Oversee 2 - 3 engineering teams during first year
Report directly to VP R&D
Key stakeholder and participant in CTO forum.
Requirements: 10+ Years in backend development, with a proven track record in building large-scale, high availability, low latency, and fault tolerant platforms in a cloud based SaaS platforms environment.
Strong experience in backend technologies, programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go) and frameworks
Deep understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, micro services, data flow and API design
Extensive experience with leading cloud platforms and containerization technologies
Proven ability to led small-mid size engineering teams, providing technical direction, support, and guidance.
Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and technologies and Agile development methodologies
Excellent communication skills with the ability convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A strategic mindset with the ability to balance short term delivery with long-term architectural goalsStrong familiarity with both SQL and non-SQL based databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis)
