The InterLab-Merck R&D center in Yavne has an opening for a Senior Scientist position in the field of cancer immunology as part of an effort to discover and develop novel cancer immuno-therapeutics and biomarkers. A strong background in immunology, cancer biology or computational analysis is required. We are looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented researcher to provide and grow expertise in translational and reverse translational research to support the development of novel cancer immunotherapies. As a senior Scientist, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, conducting and analyzing biological experiments, and will also assist in preparing complete documentation for experimental procedures. Position is for 9 months (maternal leave replacement), extension of the work term is an option.

A biotech company in a stealth mode, backed by a prominent Venture Capital group, developing novel synthetic vectors for gene and cell therapy applications, is looking for a Researcher Experimental biology.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design and development of a transformative genome engineering technology, using a high throughput platform and advanced synthetic biology techniques, to execute screening workflows through proof-of-concept studies, enabling their translation into genetic and cellular therapies.
Performing experiments in a wet laboratory (80% of the job).
Record, analyze and present experimental data.
Maintain expertise in the field by staying current to relevant literature.
Work cross-functionally with other groups.
Participate in the design and development of a transformative genome engineering technology.

In this senior role, you serve as an ambassador for the clinical biomarker function, both within and outside the company.
You oversee and communicate new scientific and clinical development aspects relevant for successful precision oncology approaches.
Building on your expertise you are able to support the evaluation of opportunities for collaboration, licensing, and acquisition of assets to enrich the oncology pipeline.
